Chicon 7, this year’s World Science Fiction Convention, has confirmed that the 2012 Hugo Awards Ceremony will be broadcast live around the world via the Worldcon UStream Channel. This is in addition to the previously announced CoverItLive event that will be hosted on the Hugo Awards web site.
The Hugo Awards Ceremony will be Sunday, September 2, 2012 at a formal ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The ceremony is scheduled for 8 PM CDT.
1,922 people cast ballots in this year’s Hugo Awards, representing the second-highest voter turnout for the final ballot in the history of the Awards.
