Voting opened on April 20, 2024 for the final ballot of the 2024 Hugo Awards, Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer. All ballots must be received by Saturday, July 20th, 2024, 20:17 GMT.
Glasgow 2024 will administer the eighteen Hugo Award categories specified in the WSFS Constitution, along with the Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, presented by the World Science Fiction Society, and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer, presented by Dell Magazines. No special category Hugo Award is being presented in 2024.
The Final Ballot is open to all Glasgow 2024 Members. (This includes Attending Adult, Young Adult, and Teen Members, Online Attending Members, and WSFS Members. Holders of Day Tickets, Online Attending Tickets, and Child/Infant Attending Tickets are not eligible to vote in the Final Ballot).
More information about the Hugo Awards, including full instructions on how to complete and submit a final ballot can be found on the Glasgow 2024 website. Glasgow 2024 has also provided PDF versions of the ballot in both English and Chinese. These printable ballots can be downloaded by members who prefer to submit their votes by postal mail. All ballots, whether submitted electronically or by postal mail, must be received by the deadline of 20.17 GMT on Saturday, July 20th, 2024.
Glasgow 2024 has sent voting instructions to all eligible Glasgow 2024 Members by email, using the email address associated with their membership. Worldcon members who are uncertain of their status or who experience problems with the online ballot form should contact the Glasgow 2024 Hugo Awards Administrators at hugo-help@glasgow2024.org.

In an online Town Hall session about the 2024 Hugo Awards on April 20, 2024, 2024 Hugo Award Administrator Nicholas Whyte stated that a Hugo Voter Packet will be released sometime in May 2024.
Any questions about the administration of the 2024 Hugo Awards should be directed to hugo-help@glasgow2024.org. The Hugo Awards website does not administer the Hugo Awards. The Awards are administered by each year’s Worldcon, which is independent of other Worldcons and of the Hugo Awards website.
